A full immersion in Language, Culture, Nature and Sports in a wonderful
National Reserve
Camp Leonardo is located in the very centre of Italy, less than two hours
from Rome. The camp sits in the middle of National Reserve of Abruzzi 3,500
feet above sea level in this lovely mountain area. Housed in a beautiful
Hotel, the students will be surrounded by the warmth and depth of Italy’s
culture. This and their immersion in learning the beautiful Italian language
will develop into an experience and love of the culture that will last for
years to come. The hotel embodies the nature and the life of the area, it is
a paradise within walking distance to the town of Ovindoli. At Camp
Leonardo, walking, trekking mountain climbing, hiking, and horse back riding
are all close at hand.
CAMP LEONARDO
is run by the experienced and accredited LANGUAGE POINT organization that has
over 20 years of expertise in bringing language and culture to life for
teenagers. At Camp Leonardo, you will find a first class location,
accommodation, and excursions, combined with the opportunity to make
enduring friendships. Furthermore, we put a great deal of emphasis on health
and safety, making it our main priority.
PROGRAMME:
Camp Leonardo will be organized in groups of eight, with one counsellor
dedicated to each group. The Italian language will be intensely taught and
enjoyed. The focus will include pronunciation, basic grammar, and most
common/important phrases. Students will be accommodated in rooms of two/three,
with bathroom according to age and gender. The counsellor will lead his/her
assigned students in learning, sports, fun, free time, meals, and in all other
activities.
Italian language learning will take place each morning (9:00 – 12.30) in a fun
and engaging atmosphere designed to enhance this amazing cultural learning
experience. We believe that Camp Leonardo should be a break from the classroom
rigors of the school so we create our learning workshop to be enjoyable, while
at the same time extremely rewarding.
Our programme includes:

18 hours of Italian language lessons in total per week;

Three meals daily plus snacks;
